On 6th June Community Voluntary Support Conwy Local Voluntary Council held a North Wales Volunteer Awards Evening, where awards of excellence were given to outstanding volunteers working within the charity sector. Stepping Stones North Wales saw 3 of our wonderful volunteers presented with their Volunteer Excellence Awards, Vince, Maureen and Gemma have kindly donated their time, skills and support to Stepping Stones with many years of volunteer hours between them. Volunteers play a vital part in the work of our charity, they support the services we provide and make a real difference to the lives of the individuals we support here at Stepping Stones. The evening was an opportunity to say a huge thank you for all their hard work.
Jennie Henderson has been awarded an AVOW 40 years volunteering award, an opportunity to say a huge thank you to Jennie who was one of the founder members of Stepping Stones North Wales and has tirelessly supported Stepping Stones as a counsellor, Chair and Vice Chair of Trustees since 1984.
Jennie leads from the front giving so generously of her time, skills and support to Stepping Stones, she has seen the charity go from a small group meeting above a post office in Wrexham to the professional charity of today covering the six counties of North Wales. Jennie’s wonderful work and support of our charity has really helped change people’s lives and we are so lucky to have her as part of the team.
