Stepping Stones offers individual counselling and group work to individuals 18+ survivors of childhood sexual abuse and support to family members, carers and friends.

Stepping Stones was established in 1984 and became a registered charity in 1995.

Who we are

We are an independent and confidential service with around 20 counsellors, men and women. All of whom are professionally qualified. 

Staff

All our counsellors are professionally trained to BACP or UK equivalent standards, upholding high standards of proficiency and ethical practice within the counselling professions framework.  All counsellors have access to regular supervision and training sessions.

The aim being to achieve the following objectives:

To protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical, of persons who have been victims of sexual abuse and in particular by the provision of therapeutic intervention and individual and group counselling.

To advance the education of persons working with those who have been victims of child sexual abuse.
