Stepping Stones North Wales Marks 40th Anniversary with Spectacular Christmas Concert in St Asaph Cathedral

15th December 2024

Stepping Stones North Wales welcomed over 150 guests last Friday, December 13, to St Asaph Cathedral to mark the charity’s 40th Anniversary with a spectacular Christmas concert.

Within the beautiful setting of the cathedral, guests were treated to festive, and deeply moving, performances by one of Wales’ finest choirs, the Cor y Penrhyn Male Voice Choir from Bethesda, and by the renowned soprano Eve Marie.

Commenting on the evening, Stepping Stones North Wales CEO Phil Eastment said:

“Forty years speaks volumes of the impact and importance of our charity’s work and of the commitment and dedication of our counsellors, support team and volunteers.

“As a charity, we rely on the support of communities throughout North Wales and it was humbling that the evening was supported by so many people, with guests coming from as far as Holyhead and Wrexham and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the evening such a success.

“With so much conflict in the world at this time, the finale of “World in Union” performed in partnership by Eve Marie and the Cor y Penrhyn Male Voice Choir was a deeply moving, positive and spectacular finale for the evening.”

At this time of giving, Stepping Stones North Wales is running a Crowdfunder with a target of £4,000 to mark 40 years. You can contribute to the Crowdfunder at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/steppingstones40.  Every penny of your donation will go towards supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse who call our helpline seeking the support of Stepping Stones North Wales services every day.
